1. Please tell us about yourself
I am originally from Bogotá, Colombia. Moved to NYC about 10 years ago, after studying classical guitar and then wanted to be a jazz guitarist. NYC brought a whole lot of experiences new to me like working any job from waiter, messenger or cleaning buildings to learning other styles of playing and of course appreciating different cultures. After years of wondering what should I go with my career, came to realize that the best way it was to look for my own voice, meaning that I could use my Colombian and classical background to write music. So I determined myself to study composition. In 2004 I was very connected to Guitar Craft which it was guitar seminar created by legendary british guitarist Robert Fripp. In one of this seminar I experienced a realization that I should explore my roots as base for my own work. So all jazz as is commonly known here...went to write my won stuff..which is not necessarily this or that but it implies elements of new music, jazz, folklore and rock. Currently I am working on the pre-productions of my next CD "En remolinos" trans "In whirlings" and will play live with full band my first CD"Molino" trans "Mill" during the summer. as well as I will be scoring the film "Salomé" which I also produced.

2. What does the music mean to you?
I wish not sound tacky...but is essentially the first love and my best friend. It also a great inspiration to hear new music and exciting musicians to continue writing and playing. It's a feedback between minds and hearts alike.

3. What kind of genre is your music
Well...its a mix of different things that interest me at different times. so sometimes I would write something "minimalistic" or "simplistic"...in the classical sense, some other times more inclined to folk, other times into somewhere that is between jazz and middle eastern...or rock
4. We want you to recommend us your favorite musician or music
That also varies from time to time...but right now I am listening to Trygve Seim (a sax player and composer from Norway), Gustavo Cerati (Argentinian songwriter) and lots of ramdom stuff on Pandora radio.

5. I've heard you work as a music director in film which is 'Carmen G' with your family. Please tell us about that
I wrote the score for "Carmen G"...and if I remember well...my mother, the producer and main actress was inspired her story "Carmen" because of a song that I wrote in homage to my great grandmother...
6. Could you tell us about your future plan?
Yes. in the short term i will write the score for "Salomé" and then focus on my next cd, which I plan to tour in USA, Europe and South America in 2013
